Today, the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development is partnering with the SCSU Innovation Hub and the BioPath team to implement the 2024 STEM Industry Needs Assessment.
Important facts about the 2024 STEM Industry Needs Assessment:
- Intended for professionals involved in hiring in STEM fields (NOT just those in HR)
- Takes 10 minutes to complete
- Producing anonymized and aggregated data; results of which will be confidential, so no company is singled out
- Anonymized data will be shared publicly during Q1 2025 to maximize the benefit for the Connecticut economy
- Responses from individuals across various departments would be tremendously valuable

The 2024 STEM Needs Assessment project is made possible by a grant to the SCSU Innovation Hub by the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development for the purpose of helping to alleviate the #1 barrier to modernizing and expanding CT’s tech economy: workforce development. Please note that the 2024 assessment includes all STEM disciplines as well as emerging technologies. With your help, institutions of higher education across Connecticut will utilize the INA’s data set and final report to enhance curriculum development and improve how we transform STEM students into key players in tomorrow’s tech economy.
